About

An engineering firm that uses AI on legacy code.

Kelumen is a software company in the United States. The team is 100 people. The work is helping clients rebuild legacy systems that are still in use: reading, splitting, migrating, testing, and handing the system back.

The model widens what can be read, drafts changes in the style of the repository, and compares behavior before and after a replacement. Engineers decide how to split a module, which behavior must hold, and when to cut over.

Engagements are scoped to a system. Staffing a pile of hours is not the default. We do not publish details of a system without the client's permission.

A conversation starts with four facts

The language and framework, the rough scale, the business path that is hardest to change, and whether the system can be stopped. If the scope fits, we schedule time to look at the code.
